Barreiro, Bell, Ketelsen, Lee, Wurzer Named to Hall of Fame

Five longtime Minnesota radio broadcasters are slated to be inducted into the Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame this fall.

The new inductees, announced March 17, are:

  • Dan Barreiro, afternoon host on “The Fan” (KFXN-FM/100.3 Minneapolis) and the Fan Network
  • Freddie Bell, general manager and morning co-host at KMOJ/89.9 (Minneapolis) and chair of the Association of Minnesota Public Educational Radio Stations
  • Lynn Ketelsen, Linder Farm Network executive and host with an ownership interest in 19 Minnesota radio stations
  • Dave Lee, former longtime WCCO/830 (Minneapolis) morning host
  • Cathy Wurzer, morning and midday anchor on Minnesota Public Radio’s News network and co-host of Twin Cities Public Television’s “Almanac”

The Sept. 17 induction ceremony at the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting in St. Louis Park will be hosted by Steve Patterson of “My Talk 107” (KTMY).
