Iowa
George S. Flinn’s KRQN/107.1 (Vinton-Cedar Rapids) notified the FCC that it went off the air June 5 as a result of a lightning strike that damaged equipment. KRQN had been carrying the USA Radio Network since Townsquare Media’s agreement to operate the station expired last year. Update: A listener reports hearing KRQN continuing to broadcast despite the station filing a request for silent authority.
Minn-Iowa Christian Broadcasting requested the callsign KJGA for its future station on 89.7 in Osage.
Roseland Broadcasting applied to transfer low-power TV station K16NY-D (Sioux City) to related company SagamoreHill of Minneapolis for $1.
Michigan
Gospel Opportunities requested the callsign WHWT for its future station on 89.3 in Ironwood.
Minnesota
The FCC approved an application from Subarctic Media’s K276EH/103.1 (Mankato) to increase its antenna height by 78 meters, remaining 250 Watts from its current site south of town.
Minn-Iowa Christian Broadcasting requested the callsign KJLW for its future station on 89.1 in Winnebago.
EICB-TV East was granted modifications to its construction permits for low-power TV stations K14QM-D (Duluth) and K28QJ-D (Duluth) to downgrade them to 100 Watts each. The permits face Sept. 6 construction deadlines.
Nebraska
MyBridge Radio requested the callsigns KXNG for its future station on 91.3 in Lexington and KSCF for its future station on 88.7 in Scottsbluff.
Community Public Media’s KKNL/89.3 (Valentine) reported that it returned to the air on June 16 at 11:41 a.m. and submitted a picture of the transmitter operating with metadata information:
North Dakota
Townsquare Media closed on its purchase of KEYZ/660 (Williston), KTHC/95.1 (Sidney, MT-Williston), and KYYZ/96.1 (Williston) from Cherry Creek Media on June 17.
The FCC approved Edge Spectrum’s application to upgrade K18NT-D (Grand Forks) from 100W to 15kW and to modify the construction permit for K35MM-D (Minot) from 1kW to 900W.
South Dakota
The FCC approved Roseland Broadcasting’s purchase of future low-power TV station K17OO-D (Sioux Falls) from Casey Peterson. It faces an April 8, 2023 construction deadline.
Wisconsin
The FCC approved the sale of WAUK/540 (Jackson-Milwaukee) and W266DR/101.1 (Waukesha) from Good Karma Broadcasting to Michael Crute and Sage Weil’s WAUK Radio LLC.
The FCC approved Roseland Broadcasting’s purchase of low-power TV station WPVS-LD/9 (Milwaukee) from Polnet Communications.
