In the early days of TV, almost all TV stations were associated with a radio station. That’s evolved over the years to the point where it’s almost a rarity for one company to be in both businesses.
The industries now mostly operate in separate silos. The extent of cooperation in most cases is that radio stations transmit from a TV tower, or get news updates from a TV newsroom.
