Lincoln-based Christian network MyBridge Radio is buying a McCook radio station that went off the air earlier this summer.
An asset purchase agreement filed with the FCC on Tuesday, Aug. 2, indicates that MyBridge will pay Kansas Nebraska Good News Broadcasting $40,000 for KNGN/1360 and K252FV/98.3 (McCook). The deal includes the stations’ tower and transmission equipment, but not studio facilities.
KNGN went silent at the end of June, citing financial difficulties.
The AM station is 1kW non-directional daytime only while the FM translator uses 250 Watts.
MyBridge does not own any other stations in the immediate McCook area. KNGN’s coverage area overlaps with the edge of several MyBridge stations, including KMMJ/750 (Grand Island). All of MyBridge’s other stations are on FM.
