Weekly Log: “Total Hits” in the Twin Cities, Several People Moves

Posted on April 14, 2023January 31, 2024 by Jon Ellis

Reception reports

Milestone Radio’s KLCI/106.1 (Elk River-Minneapolis) has returned two HD subchannels to the air with slightly different programming than before. KLCI-HD2 is again carrying Christian programming as “Hope,” while KLCI-HD3 is carrying the “Total Hits” Classic Hits format.

Following up on the report in this week’s FCC Monitor report that Civic Media’s WBZH/910 (Hayward) has returned to the air, the station is simulcasting the Liberal Talk lineup of sister station WLAK/1260 (Amery). Civic Media’s website does not yet list WBZH.

Multiple viewers have reported that Forum Communications’ recently-acquired KSFL-TV/36.1 (Sioux Falls) is now carrying ION. The network’s website continues to list Nexstar’s KELO-DT3 as its Sioux Falls affiliate, and Forum’s SiouxFallsLive.com continues to list KSFL as “coming soon.”

Gray TV’s KSNB-TV (York-Lincoln) is now carrying Oxygen on channel 4.5.

Meanwhile, news anchor Danielle Wagner announced she’s joining KCRG, moving from Gray NBC affiliate WEAU-TV/13 (Eau Claire) to move home to Iowa.

Scripps NBC affiliate TMJ4 (WTMJ-TV Milwaukee) announced that meteorologist Marisa Woloszyn is departing the station for a job in Detroit.

RadioInsight reports that Shaun Ridder is no longer part of the morning team at iHeartMedia’s “FM106.1” (WMIL-FM Waukesha-Milwaukee).

FOX 21’s Dan Hanger recently reported that Jeanne Ryan is no longer with Townsquare Media’s “MIX 108” (KBMX/107.7 Proctor-Duluth) as a result of budget cuts.
