Posted on October 27, 2023 by Jon Ellis

2023 NAB Marconi Radio Award winners include Dave Ryan with Falen, Jenny and Drake of iHeartMedia’s KDWB/101.3 (Richfield-Minneapolis) for Large Market Personality of the Year, and Hubbard Radio’s “KS95” (KSTP-FM/94.5 St. Paul) for Large Market Station of the Year. The awards were presented Oct. 25 during NAB Show New York.

iHeartMedia announced that 740 radio stations (that’s almost all of the company’s stations) will simultaneously debut the new Beatles song, “Now and Then,” on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 9 a.m. Central time. iHeart’s Classic Rock stations will then air the song hourly on the debut day.

Jade Tittle announced plans to depart Minnesota Public Radio’s “The Current,” where she is music director and midday host. Tittle has been with the station for 15 years.

Civic Media announced that John Peterson and Gordy Young will host a new 6 to 8 a.m. snow on “Mad Radio 92.7” (W224EG Madison and WMDX/1580 Columbus) starting Monday, Oct. 30.

RadioInsight reports that Colleen Valkoun has been named president and general manager of the Milwaukee Radio Alliance’s trio of stations. Valkoun previously lead iHeartMedia’s group in the market.

CBS O&O WCCO-TV/4.1 (Minneapolis) announced the hiring of meteorologist Adam Del Rosso.

Nebraska Public Media announced that KXNE-FM/89.3 (Norfolk) is operating at half of its usual power due to tower work. KXNE-FM is licensed for 45kW/300m (class C1).
