A full-service Classic Hits station in in southwestern Minnesota is poised to get a new owner.

An asset purchase agreement filed with the FCC indicates Kerri Boyens’ Adventures on the Air LLC is buying KLQP/92.1 (Madison) from Maynard Meyer’s Lac Qui Parle Broadcasting for $275,000.

The buyer owns no other stations.

The “Q92” lineup includes local news and updates from FOX News, the Minnesota News Network, and Linder Farm Network.

According to the station’s history page, Meyer signed on KLQP in 1983 and bought out his last partner in 2020. Meyer has also served on the board of the Minnesota Broadcasters Association and is a member of the Minnesota Broadcasters Hall of Fame.

KLQP’s 25kW/91m signal covers an area between Montevideo and Ortonville in the Lac Qui Parle area of the Minnesota River.
