The Salvation Poem Foundation, which runs Wisconsin’s Prayz Network, has signed on an eighth station.
WEQM/91.5 (Melrose) transmits with 6.5kW/87m (class C3), reaching Black River Falls. WEQM fills in a coverage gap between the network’s Sparta and Augusta stations.
The network signed on three new stations last year, most recently one in Westfield. WEQM and the Westfield construction permit were obtained as a result of a 2021 filing window for new non-commercial stations while the Salvation Poem Foundation won two stations in northern Wisconsin in a FCC auction.
The group also has a construction permit for future station WEQH/88.3 (Harmony, MN), which will serve Decorah, IA.
The Sparta-based network carries a mix of Christian teaching and preaching programs and Contemporary Christian music, with music making up more of the schedule on weekends.
