Prayz Network has signed on its ninth full-power FM station, which is also its first licensed outside of Wisconsin.
WEQH/88.3 (Harmony, Minn.) transmits from a tower near Burr Oak, Iowa with 2.2kW/91m (class A), delivering a strong signal to Decorah and Cresco.
WEQH is fifth station the network has signed on within the past year. It and stations in Melrose and Westfield, Wis, were granted as a result of a 2021 filing window for new non-commercial stations, while the network won frequencies in Crandon and Tomahawk, Wis., during a 2021 FCC auction.
WEQH is the last of the permits issued to Prayz Network’s parent, The Salvation Poem Foundation, to sign on as a result of the filing window and auction.
Prayz Network, based in Sparta, Wis., carries a mix of Christian teaching and preaching programs and Contemporary Christian music, with music making up more of the schedule on weekends.
The only other strong Christian radio signal in Decorah is K268AF/101.5, which relays KFSI/92.9 (Rochester, MN).
