Numerous DTV Changes include ROAR on DT1 Channels

Posted on August 13, 2025August 13, 2025 by Jon Ellis

Several TV stations in Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin have changed or added channels, including two changes in primary affiliation.

Sinclair Broadcast Group announced that KFXA/28.1 (Cedar Rapids) and KMEG/14.1 (Sioux City) are now both carrying the company’s ROAR network, formerly known as TBD, on their DT1 channels. The carriage on the stations’ primary channels gives ROAR full distribution on cable and satellite providers throughout the Cedar Rapids and Sioux City markets.

KFXA-DT1 and KMEG-DT1 had previously carried Dabl.

Meanwhile, KFXA has moved Comet from channel 28.5 to ROAR’s former home on 28.3. Sinclair says the move gives Comet full cable distribution in the Cedar Rapids market.

Elsewhere, Sinclair also announced the addition of Charge! on KHGI/13.4 (Kearney). Charge! has also recently been noted on KHGI-CD/27.3 (North Platte).

And Sinclair’s WMSN (Madison) has added The Nest on channel 47.5.

Sinclair owns ROAR, Comet, Charge!, and The Nest.

There have also been some recent, unrelated changes in Green Bay, where Weigel’s WMEI (Shawano-Green Bay) has added several channels to its lineup: The company’s new WEST network will air on channel 31.4, with MeTV+ moving to 31.9.

Meanwhile, Dabl is now airing on 31.8. Dabl had previously aired on channel 14.5 of Sinclair’s WCWF (Suring-Green Bay), which is now simulcasting The Nest with 14.4.
