The company that holds the licenses for KQKD/1380 (Redfield) and its FM translator, K260DG/99.9 (Redfield), is getting a new owner.
According to a membership interest purchase agreement filed with the FCC, Peter John of Louisiana will pay Ronald and Denise Schacht $125,000 for their interest in Gray Ghost Broadcasting LLC, the licensee of KQKD and K260DG.
An email address listed for John indicates he is associated with RadioPluStreaming.com.
“KQ1380” offers a full-service format featuring a broad mix of Classic Hits and Classic Country, with syndicated talk airing in the evening and overnight hours.
KQKD transmits with 500 Watts daytime and 140 Watts nighttime and has a construction permit to upgrade to 1kW daytime and 400 Watts nighttime.
Ron Schacht is a broadcast engineer who has worked in radio since 1963. He and his wife purchased KQKD three years ago and began local programming on the signal, which was previously programmed out of Aberdeen.
