After signing on a new station in Falls City, the Nebraska Educational Telecommunications Commission is selling the translator it replaced to a Catholic radio network.
A deal filed with the FCC calls for NETC to sell K205FP/88.9 (Falls City) to VSS Catholic Communications for $4,750.
Nebraska Public Media no longer needs the translator for its radio network after signing on new station KQNE/89.9 (Falls City). K205FP is currently off the air.
The application states VSS, operator of the “Spirit Catholic Radio” network, will use the translator to relay KVSS/102.7 (Papillion-Omaha).
The deal includes a letter granting VSS the right to file an application to move K205FP to a new transmitter site. The letter says a frequency change could be included in the application.
