Hubbard Radio’s “myTalk 107.1” (KTMY Coon Rapids-St. Paul) announced that it has not renewed Alexis Thompson‘s contract. Thompson had been with the station for more than two decades and had co-hosted mornings since 2013. In a social media statement, Thompson said, “I simply want to say thank you. Thank you for 20 plus years of talking pop culture and entertainment, laughing, crying and sharing our lives. We’ve grown up together. Thank you for starting your morning with a smile and a laugh with me.” The station’s official statement on Facebook cites an “evolving” audio landscape and said, “we have been challenged to run our operations more efficiently going forward.” The official statement is rare in an industry where such moves typically come with no comment.
