The Rosebud Sioux Tribe’s KINI/96.1 (Crookston, NE-Rosebud, SD) has told the FCC that it’s off the air due to equipment failure following a storm.
A notification of suspension of operations indicates KINI went silent on March 16, and additional storms have hampered efforts to get the station back on the air. The filing indicates the tower will either need to be repaired or replaced.
KINI carries a Contemporary Hits format as “Hits 96” and continues to stream online.
The tribe also owns KOYA/88.1 (Rosebud), which transmits from a separate tower and remains on the air.
