176 Nexstar-owned stations have returned to DirecTV after an 11-week outage caused by a retransmission consent dispute.
The network affiliates in 113 markets returned to the satellite and streaming provider on Sunday, Sept. 17, hours before games in the NFL season’s second week.
Stations impacted by the outage that began July 2 included:
- CBS affiliate WHBF/4 (Rock Island, IL)
- NBC affiliate WHO-DT/13 (Des Moines, IA)
- ABC affiliate KCAU/9 (Sioux City, IA)
- CBS affiliate KXMB/12 (Bismarck, ND)
- CBS affiliate KCLO/15 (Rapid City, SD)
- CBS affiliate KELO-TV/11 (Sioux Falls, SD)
- CBS affiliate WFRV/5 (Green Bay, WI)
- FOX affiliate WLAX/25 (La Crosse, WI)
The two sides did not disclose terms of the agreement in a brief news release, other than to say that the agreement covers multiple years. The agreement was first announced Sunday morning by Nexstar stations:
