All-Christmas Update:
At least 19 Upper Midwest radio stations switched to All-Christmas formats on Thanksgiving, followed by another 31 on Black Friday. The vast majority are stations that flip on roughly the same schedule each year. One surprise is that no commercial Duluth station has gone All-Santa this year, though non-comm outlet “Life 97.3” (KDNW) has made the traditional change. Elsewhere, Subarctic Media’s KKCK/94.7 (Springfield-Marshall), which normally runs Contemporary Hits, switched to “K-Santa” for apparently the first time.
