iHeartMedia Conservative Talker WISN/1130 (Milwaukee) announced that Dan O’Donnell will move to the 3 to 6 p.m. timeslot beginning Jan. 2, taking over for Mark Belling as he moves to podcast form. O’Donnell’s current 9 to 11 a.m. shift will be taken over by Benjamin Yount.
Dave Coombs recently announced that he’ll be moving from middays to mornings at Saga Classic Rocker WKLH/96.5 (Milwaukee), replacing the retiring Dave Luczak.
Steve Davis and Susan Kennedy announced that they have been let go by Cumulus Media’s “Star 98” (WQLH/98.5 Green Bay) for budgetary reasons. Davis had been with the station since 1999 and was joined by Kennedy, a market veteran, two years ago.
Good Karma’s “ESPN Madison” (WTLX/100.5 Columbus) announced that it will be the new home of the Milwaukee Brewers in 2025. Games in the capital city had previously been heard on WOZN/1670 (Madison).
LA Communications’ KDHK/100.5 (Decorah) is teasing that there will be a change on Jan. 1:
NewsChannel Nebraska announced the hiring of news anchor Dave Griek, formerly of KHGI/13.1 (Kearney). He will anchor NCN’s evening newscasts out of the network’s Kearney studio.
Gray Media NBC affiliate WLUC/6.1 (Marquette) has added Vincenzo La Via as 6 p.m. co-anchor and Brady Meyer as 7 p.m. co-anchor, while Molly Birch is taking over for Meyer as weekend anchor. The changes follow the departure of Cody Boyer, who took a new job in Montana. WLUC has also updated its graphics and launched the “First Alert Weather” brand.
Gray CBS/FOX affiliate KEYC (Mankato) announced that meteorologist Emily Merz is departing for a new job in Green Bay, and meteorologist Daniel Sawicki is returning to KEYC to take her place.
Gray Media stations WSAW/7.1 (Wausau) and WEAU/13.1 (Eau Claire) are now simulcasting the 7 a.m. Sunday hour of “The Morning Show” from Gray’s WMTV/15.1 (Madison). The show replaces a local newscast on WSAW, while WEAU did not previously have local news in the timeslot. WSAW noted that there were no job cuts as a result of the change and that the simulcast will be limited to Sunday mornings.
TCT/Radiant Life Ministries’ KCWV (Duluth) has added Positiv on channel 27.10.
The Minnesota Timberwolves announced that Tegna’s KARE 11 (Minneapolis) will carry five games this season.
Jeff Lin and Jason Radisson have joined Minnesota Public Radio’s Board of Trustees.
Chuck Scofield, former longtime owner of KEYZ/660 (Williston), recently died at the age of 99. His obituary states that Scofield developed a fascination with radio while growing up in rural Montana during the medium’s early days. He also served three terms in the North Dakota House in the 1970s and led the North Dakota Broadcasters Association and other civic groups.
