Nebraska Public Media says K209FS/89.7 (Columbus) is going off the air for what could be an outage of eight months or longer. The network’s news release says its radio service will be off the air in Columbus until it either finds a new tower location for K209FS or is ready to sign on new station KUNE-FM/88.7 (Columbus). In the meantime, it’s telling Columbus listeners to try the fringe signal of KXNE/89.3 (Norfolk) or use its web stream. Columbus has a population of about 24,000.
Iowa Public Radio’s broadcast outages page notes that the HD signal on KUNI/90.9 (Cedar Falls) is currently down, with no known timeframe for restoration.
