“Pure Country” Arrives on 4 South Dakota Signals

Posted on January 6, 2020 by Jon Ellis

Two FM translators and two AM signals in Aberdeen and Redfield have switched to Classic Country.

“Pure Country 107-1 / 99-9” is heard on K296FW/107.1 (Aberdeen), K260DG/99.9 (Redfield), KKAA/1560 (Aberdeen), and KQKD/1380 (Redfield).

KKAA and the Redfield stations are owned by i3G Radio, while K296FW is owned by Prairie Winds Broadcasting/Hub City Radio. The mail and email address listed for “Pure Country” is the same as Hub City’s group of six stations in Aberdeen.

K296FW had previously relayed the Sports format of Prairie Winds’ KGIM/1420 (Aberdeen).

KQKD and K260DG had previously carried Classic Hits.

KKAA had recently been off the air and before that, relayed the Farm/Country format of KQLX/890 (Lisbon, ND).
